Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko, a Kyrgyzstani Muaythai fighter from Peru and a mixed martial artist who is competing for in the UFC in the Flyweight Division is currently in Kyrgyzstani. She is the older sister of the fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko started her journey into fighting sports by becoming an Muay Thai Kickboxer. Shevchenko made her debut at her first IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals by unanimous verdict. Antonina continued her career by getting bronze and silver medal in 2008 and 2007 respectively, a Gold medal in 2011 and the 2016 IFMA amateur Muay thai world champion. Antonia started her professional journey back in 2003. She has taken home numerous titles including the World WKC K-1 Light Welterweight Championships the Lion Fight Lightweight Championships as well as the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina was last in action against Isa Tsidblad Keskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won unanimously. Antonina shevchenko fought her debut professional MMA fight in 2002, against Anara bayanova in the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She was victorious in the second round TKO followed by two more bouts at the WXF X-Impact World Championships to achieve a record of 3-0. Shevchenko went on a hiatus from MMA in order to concentrate on kickboxing. She came back in a fight against Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko beat Anissa via unanimous decision before prevailing over Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. She joined Dana White Contender Series 2018 following the departure of the league. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina defeated Nievera by her impressive striking ability during the clinch final round by using knees on the body. Antonina Shevchenko was given an UFC contract after the victory. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut UFC in The TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modeafferi in the unanimous verdict. However, she then lost her subsequent fight because of the split decision. Antonina rebounded from her loss to knock out Lucie Pudilova by choking her back in a rear-naked submission in the second round at UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned an extra fight in the night in this fight. Shevchenko went 2-2 in the next three fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski and lost to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee. Then, Antonina lost to Casey O'Neill at UFC Fight Night Santos against. Walker via second-round TKO.
