Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine combines R&B, soul gospel, and jazz into his signature style. Avery Sunshine has performed on Broadway and in festivals throughout Europe. She has also performed at performing at Democratic National Convention. Sunshine is the daughter of Denise White. Although she is based in Atlanta, her roots are in Chester Pennsylvania. There she first began to develop an interest in music, singing and playing the piano at the church. Following her graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she embarked on her journey of music in Atlanta's R&B musical scene. Jennifer Holliday, who won Tony and Grammy Awards for her voice and her music, invited Sunshine to sing in the Dreamgirls production at the Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was noticed by the nation during daily performances of four at 2008's Democratic National Convention. Sunshine followed up with being asked to sing in the presence of the President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
